Family history is my passion – a passion ignited by the story of Kunta Kinte dramatized in the late 1970s television programme Roots. I realised how little I knew about my family and started a journey into my family’s past – I have yet to reach the destination!
In addition to my personal experience, I have enhanced my skills and knowledge with academic study, completing both the Post Graduate Certificate and Post Graduate Diploma in Family and Local History with the Centre for Archive and Information Studies at the University of Dundee. I am a member of the Register of Qualified Genealogists.
During the last 15 years I have researched the genealogy and family history for other families. It is wonderful to be able to help people understand who and where they have come from and provide context to their own family’s story.
Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you would like my help.
